Dr. Rita Twan, DDS
Dr. Twan received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and, as part of a dual degree program, received her Master’s in Education at Teacher’s College of Columbia University. She was awarded both the Columbia University DDS Educator Fellowship and the ADEA American Dental Careers Fellowship.
Get to know Dr. Twan
She completed her dental residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and afterwards pursued her training in endodontics at NYU Langone Hospitals in Brooklyn. She has presented on the intersection of orthodontics and endodontics at the American Association of Endodontists conference and has lectured on antibiotic stewardship through the American College of Dentists. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and is currently on the Regenerative Endodontics Committee.
Dr. Twan previously practiced in Manhattan and in Massachusetts. She was a clinical instructor of endodontics at Tufts University during her time in Massachusetts and has plans to continue teaching. In her free time, Dr. Twan is committed to her personal fitness and enjoys boxing and weight lifting. She loves traveling with her husband and trying new restaurants with him.
